On a scale of ape to entrepreneur,
how often do you forget to breathe?
If you could take an ice pick
to the scar tissue in your lungs,
wouldn’t you?
When the wolves return,
won’t you face them?
Who will wait for you
while time coils tight
around your neck
like a snake?
Have you ever met a storm
you wouldn’t chase?
Isn’t running just a man’s game?
What’s the difference
between an escape and a retreat?
How long should we miss you
before we fish you out of the water?
Why listen for sirens
when the birds still sing?
Where does your pain hide
while you’re performing?

Lol, as a Wim Hof fan, I found this poem to be surreal yet relevant. No idea what I’m feeling here too, but I enjoyed it. Thanks for this post!
