God, I feel good

I do not push the river
I do not bend the trees
I did not choose my government
My time and place shape me

I cannot hide from robins
I cannot force the bees
In cities or in solitudes
I am a human being

I may be bad as anyone
But thatโ€™s alright with me
Sometimes I sit and listen
And find such clarity
