My phone recognizes my face

my phone knows the blue hollow
under my eyes
the freckle on the tip
of my nose
the shallow curve
of my cheekbones
how my lips get thinner
when I cry
and the flush that rises
with wine
and whispered nothings
and being seen
and exercise
my phone knows me
when Iโ€™m running
and it knows me when I sleep
it knows me when Iโ€™m reading
in the bath
by candlelight
by fluorescent light
by sunlight too
my phone could pick me
out in a crowded room
faster than my mom could
probably
or my sisters
who havenโ€™t seen my face
in months
my phone stares at me
every day
every goddamn day
it looks me in the eye
and says
Iโ€™ve unlocked myself
I unlock myself
for you
and only
you
